How to choose your wedding photographer
It’s really important to do a little research about the photography styles and approaches that are out there to think about what you may like. Do you like documentary wedding photography? Do you like a candid, photojournalistic approach or do you prefer a more formal and structured look? Would you consider a photographer that shoots film? Take the time to look at wedding photos, even if they aren’t from photographers in your area.
Train your eye in order to understand what you like. Use Google or any other search engine for your research but also ask your friends, colleagues and family members for recommendations.
Now it’s time to deal with the pricing of the photography services and determine your budget. Don’t set a budget without doing a little research first and without listing your priorities. A couple in Paris, in average, sets a budget between 1.500 € – 2.000 € for their wedding day photography. Such a package usually includes full day coverage and digital photos but rarely extra services, like albums or prints. If you want an above-average package, you have to expect to pay an above-average price!

for a period during which you’d be comfortable making a decision. Meeting photographers but not making a decision for several weeks after puts you at risk of falling in love with a photographer and their work and then no longer having photographer available for the date of your wedding
Give them as much information as possible on your wedding like, the date, time, venue, church, the number of your guests, and the theme of the wedding, if there is one. That kind of information helps a lot the photographer to understand the size of your event and the deplacements he will have to do during the day in order to inform you on his availability and prices.
